"Engaging in reflections like these will definitely make me a better teacher. The reflections force me to explore my feelings and thoughts in a way that often results in the discovery of new feelings and thoughts. This has not always been a comfortable process—I have discovered things I’m not that proud of. But once I determine what I am truly thinking and feeling, rather than what I have learned I should think and feel, I then can use the results of that reflection as a tool to improve the way I teach and interact with others. Sharing our reflections has helped me become more aware of challenges students face socially, intellectually, mentally, emotionally, and psychologically, as well as helped me discover more about who I am and who I want to be. Thank you for the reflection assignments!"
